Kiara Owen, LMSW

Kiara will be joining our team in June of 2025.

Kiara Owen earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo and her Bachelor's degree at SUNY Fredonia in English with minors in Leadership Studies and Psychology. She provides both individual and family sessions, via in-person and/or telehealth, for children, adolescents, parents, and families.

Kiara has developed her therapeutic philosophy based on her years studying various forms of relationships, whether the relationship is between a parent and their child, a parent and another parent, blended families, children in adoptive or foster care households, and beyond. She finds her passion in helping children and their families heal their deepest wounds in order to improve their quality of life and connect to each other. Kiara believes that the true antidote to hurt is connection and strives to help those in her care learn to find compassion and appreciation for one another. She works with various families and individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, ADHD/ADD, attachment wounds, personality disorders, family dysfunction, and Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). Kiara is also a trained Birth Doula.

When she isn't providing therapeutic care, Kiara enjoys trying out new creative and art-based hobbies, spending time with her cats, watching documentaries, and crocheting.
